What is Airway Management?
Airway management is a set of medical procedures that are designed and performed to prevent an obstruction in the airway of the victim. There are several different ways in which one can ensure the patient has proper airflow and this section will cover just a few of them. This is important as the victim must be able to continue to circulate oxygen in and out of the lungs. It is sometimes required to remove an obstruction or insert a tube into the esophagus to create a clear path for oxygen.
